About KCCA Legacy Woodworks

At KCCA Legacy Woodworks, every piece begins with a simple belief: fine craftsmanship creates lasting memories.

My name is Kris Coats, founder and craftsman behind KCCA Legacy Woodworks. I’ve been woodworking on and off for more than 30 years, driven by the satisfaction of shaping raw lumber into something functional, beautiful, and meaningful. After recently retiring from the United States Air Force, I now dedicate my time fully to the workshop — turning a lifelong passion into a focused craft business.

I specialize in heirloom-quality cutting boards, bread knives, and laser-engraved legacy display pieces — projects designed not just to be used, but to be kept, handed down, and remembered.

Handcrafted woodworking process

Why “Legacy”?

Some items are more than objects. They mark milestones, honor service, celebrate family, and preserve history.

Whether it’s a custom engraved display piece, a wedding gift cutting board, or a one-of-a-kind commission, my goal is always the same:

To build pieces that outlast trends and tell a story.

Small Batch. Personal Service. Custom Possibilities.

Every project is made in my home workshop with hands-on attention from start to finish. Materials are carefully selected, milled, shaped, and finished for durability and long-term beauty. No assembly line. No shortcuts. Just honest craftsmanship.

If you have an idea — even just a sketch — I’ll work with you to bring it to life.

Thank you for supporting small-batch craftsmanship.
